Quilts.....You just can't have enough

I decided to do an entire post, on the quilts I have made!
These are ones I have made for my family :)
Every quilt has a story...every quilt is someones hard work(these literally take hours)
Quilting is a dedicated craft. Its expensive, time consuming....and addictive. Spend 1 cozy night watching tv under one and you will fall completely in love, guaranteed!

This is the first quilt I ever made. I started it when our first daughter was a few months old. It's a disappearing nine patch, and i used vintage inspired florals to make it! I finally got around to quilting and binding it last year....its now our couch quilt. And I love it!!!

This is the twin sized quilt I made for my eldest daughter at Christmas. She actually loves the top of it so much she flips it over so that the top is closer to her while she's sleeping(the back is pink with butterflies imprinted on it.  This is a pattern I designed myself :)

This is the twin sized quilt I made my son for Christmas. His name is Helm so I took that and made a whole pirate theme around it(including lots of prints with helms on them). Again, its a disappearing nine patch.

This is our youngest daughters crib sized quilt. I love it so much I have another one in the works for my etsy shop(https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/3littlethimbles). I used most Joel Dewberry Prints and I have to say Im obsessed with this line, and triangles!!

Quilt obsessed!

I thought I was the only one in out house obsessed with quilts.... Turns out there are more of us!

Our 2 year old has developed an obsession as well! Her is the bed blanket I made her at Christmas

She has been making nests, pretend beds and dragging all the quilts everwhere.
Makes my heart happy to see my quilts getting used to make childhood memories!

SNEAK PEEK!!!

Is there ever a better day, than the day you get 2 HUGE orders of long awaited fabric???
Well...maybe if we weren't on a boil water order....then it would be perfect.

Quilting Cotton!!!! Simply lovely
Tons of cotton in hexigons, chevrons, florals, woodgrains and vintage florals!!! I'm in love. I can't wait to start quilting and sewing with these fabrics.

And.......last but not least.....Jersey!!!
I must admit, I had no intention of making anything with this to sell. But I went to order a few years for me and my girls for scarfs and, well.... this happened. My hubby says 100 scarfs for 3 girls in one house is too much. I have to agree. I'm super excited to have these bad boys up in my etsy shop shortly! For your little ones aged 1-5 at a price that's a total steal. Although no promises on the coral chevron, that's mine.

Well that's it for my sneak peek!!! Now I just have to wait till they lift the boil water order so I can wash and start creating with all this fabric. Woo hoo.

Who else is obsessed with this quilt??

I just finished stitching the binding on this little beauty!!!!
Love this one!!! Here's some more angles!

This beauty will be in my etsy shop Monday :) Now onto the next quilting project...ha ha ha
